History
As a young man Bruce Peden dreamt of owning his own metal working company. In high school, Bruce and his brother Brian took trade school classes in welding and machine shop. After the brothers had graduated high school, Bruce and Brian went on to work with McDaniel Sheet Metal in Glasgow where Bruce was later positioned as McDaniel’s right hand man.
After several years, Bruce decided to go out on his own. Together, Bruce and Brian started what is now Peden Metal Works Inc. Linda, Bruce’s wife contributed to the business as well. Linda graduated high school with 2 years of accounting and for several years worked as a computer operator for a trucking company; this gave her the experience that made her an excellent book keeper for Peden Metal Works Inc.
Peden Metal Works is a family business. It has been the efforts of the Peden family that have brought this business to where it is today.
The third brother, Don, also began working for Peden Metal Works after several years. Don had taken drafting in trade school and had worked for the Lyons Company in Glasgow.
The fourth brother, Mike, worked for Peden Metal Works for several years as well; Mike worked with technical drawings and had much experience working with computers.
The fifth and final brother, Anthony, also worked several years for Peden Metal Works and later moved to Tennessee.
The brothers’ sister Sandy also worked for Peden Metal Works as a secretary along with her son Daniel and her husband Bo who both worked in the machine shop here for several years.
Over the years we have been blessed to have many great employees to work for us here at Peden Metal Works and our business continues to be a family thing. Without the help of every single person here and who has been here we would not be as successful as we are today. So we, Peden Metal Works continue to work hard and grow.
